Pecan Pie


From "Mama Dip's Kitchen"


1 stick butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 C sugar
1 C pecans, chopped
1 C Karo syrup
1 unbaked 9 in pie crust


Preheat oven to 350.

In a sauce pan, melt butter. Mix sugar and corn syrup. Cook over med heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in eggs, mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake 1 hour or until firm.

Would you incorporate chocolate and caramel to this?

Chocolate, yes. Caramel, perhaps. I do have a recipe for a chocolate pecan pie- it's fudgy and delicious!
